Ladies Against Humanity @ The Rio Theatre

21 Mar

Always a pleasure to knock some dirty improv out of the park with these crazy ladies. Thanks to Daniel Chai and The Fictionals for inviting me to play Ladies Against Humanity. Oh god, the number of vagina jokes we did…

So much fun playing with Angela, Rae-Lyn, Clare, Margret, Ese, Denise and Alex. Everyone’s hair is so on point in this photo.

Inside the Ladies Writing Room – Toronto Sketchfest

5 Mar

What a panel! Moderated by Michelle Daly (Senior Director, Comedy Content CBC) we talked our faces off about what it’s like being a lady writer in comedy. BUT – everyone had great advice for the entire audience about how to pitch, get your material in front of the right executives, conduct yourself in a writer’s room, etc.

Plus I am now going to get so much free coffee from brain-pickers!

Why There Are Fewer Women in Comedy

Way back in 2005, I was asked by Definitely Not the Opera on CBC Radio 1 to investigate why there are fewer women in comedy than men.

Recently, this debate has come up again – and I was asked to repost the doc. Luckily, CBC Radio never deletes ANYTHING and I was able to find the story and share it with you!

If you’d like to give it a listen, the audio is posted HERE on the ‘Leave it to Cleavage’ website (the all-female corporate improv comedy group I work with.)

Give it a listen, share, ‘like’ and comment away!
